Is Texas truly a no fault state when it comes to divorce?
Im not certain you may understand what no fault means. In Texas it means that you can get a divorce on the basis of incompatibility. You only need to not get along and dont feel you can live with the person anymore. Fault in the break up of the marriage is a factor in property awards and is often a consideration in child custody cases. How much of a factor depends greatly upon the judge. For many judges the factor is mostly zero and unless you present as a really bad character, they dont care why your marriage broke up.
